Painting old leather bags vol. II

Found some poor, unwanted leather bags in the free section at Kierrätyskeskus again,
so naturally I had to give them a loving home!
This morning I took a few hours before school work to do a spot of painting,
here's what I've done so far:

A newly scalloped white bag,
though I feel it might benefit from some touches of gold paint (will need to go buy some soon..!):
The scallops still need a few touch-ups, and the gold details:

This started off as minty polkadots, very quickly switched to minty triangles from which things escalated to minty water droplets: I shall name him the Walter Droplet bag! *hmm, though he seems to be named ''Phillippe'' already...

And a Sanna Annukka inspired birdy bag:

Day 1 (unfinished)
Day 2: Finished, though upon careful inspection, it still needs a coat of black paint in places.
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool:

Rudolf Koivu rules

Found this old and tattered Grimm's fairy tale book with beautiful illustrations.

The book is illustrated by a Finnish illustrator and painter, Rudolf Koivu (1890 – 1946),
who is well known for illustrating books of fairy tales for children.

Here's a finnish Snow White and the seven dwarves with their red cabin in the woods. The little lanterns the dwarves are holding are so cute they make me want to draw little lanterns!

Here's the prince waking Sleeping Beauty. Check out that stache! Nice.

Where frozen margaritas come from:

This crows all like
they see me rollin', they... sleepin'?!

In a faraway magical garden there is a dude in diapers shooting an arrow at an amazing golden bird.
What an asshole!

Those swans are actually princes. True story.

The initials were also very pretty:

It would be so much fun to illustrate a children's book some day!

Kittens!

"Wha'!? Los' yoh mi'ens, you naugh'y lil' ki'ens!" -S.N., 2012

Made my sister a kitten brooch for christmas shown here in a never-before seen extraordinarily
sharp and clear mac photo booth -image:

Anyways, so then yesterday I made some more, and I really feel like making more still, but I must refrain myself, for I really have no plans for what to do with them. Oh well.

Here they are, the five little kitten

Lace stud earrings

I cut these bits of lace from some lace ribbon and wanted to make some earrings with them.
Luckily for me, my sister  came up with this great idea!

Lace earrings how-to:

~ cut two pieces of lace to fit earlobe
~ stiffen them up with some craft glue
~ check where to attach the earring stud
~ glue the stud on with super glue and leave to dry
~ wear them! ...but take care, since they're quite delicate!

Very wool

I've finally used up most of the smaller balls of yarn I've had for the last few years, hurrah!

Presenting:

Very wool tassels

 Very wool basket
(crocheted with three different shades of pink and grey at once, to get a thicker, sturdier basket!)

 And last but not least:
Very wool pompom garland

1, 2, 3...

Guess what these are?

Paint by number puppies!

Nice.

Went to kierrätyskeskus to try and find something for a halloween costume,
found some clothes but nothing funny enough to inspire a costume, boo,
but it was probably just yesterday when I was thinking about
how cool (...) it would be to try some painting by numbers,
and then today I found this real retro box for free from KK!

The paints are a bit dry, unsurprisingly, but how AWESOME!

I'm trying to decide if I'll just paint them like they're meant to be painted, or slightly differently..
